Academic Transition and Basic Research
Students explore the foundational frameworks of university studies right from their first trimester, helping them smoothly shift away from standard high school structures. The initial curriculum focuses on core preparation steps through subjects like university life and study skills, learning computer applications, and media literacy. Rather than working through lengthy analytical projects immediately, students complete introductory modules in practical research where they learn how to frame simple inquiries, structure source notes, and format basic reports before advancing into complex disciplines.
Social Behavior and Culture Studies
As students move into their second and third trimesters, the focus expands into systematic human behaviors and cultural dynamics. Through foundational modules like introduction to psychology, introduction to social science, and developing critical thinkers, candidates learn how individuals react to public structures and community rules. The curriculum emphasizes active group discussions regarding human geography, family structures, and mental frameworks. Students practice looking at social trends from different vantage points, helping them build analytical abilities while learning how community values shape corporate and personal decisions.
Tailored Electives and Degree Preparation
The program structure allows candidates to sample different discipline pathways before fully committing to a full three-year degree at the BERJAYA School of Communication. Depending on their interests, students select specialized choices such as introduction to business, advertising and society, media and democracy, or fundamentals of hospitality, tourism, and services. To ensure students can comfortably execute advanced coursework, over half of the modules within the Foundation in Arts and Social Science program are evaluated strictly through active presentations and regular assignments rather than final written exams alone.
