In Year 1, you'll strengthen key academic skills like writing, speaking, research, and problem-solving, alongside introductory courses in IT, programming, engineering, and mathematics.
Year 2 deepens your programming knowledge with languages such as C++, Java, and Linux, while introducing advanced computing concepts like object-oriented programming. You’ll also have the chance to focus on a specialisation that supports your future academic goals.
The course ends with industrial training, giving you real-world experience and hands-on skills to ensure you’re ready for the workforce. Plus, successful graduates may gain up to 200 credits of advanced standing towards Curtin’s Bachelor of Computing or Bachelor of Technology degrees.
