Foundational Business Management
Students start their learning journey at FAME International College by building a strong understanding of core business operations. Early classroom activities focus on how corporations operate, how managers look after their teams, and how products are marketed to the public. In modules like Managing People and Organisations and Principles of Marketing, students read through actual corporate records and complete individual or group assignments to solve everyday organizational problems. Instead of just memorizing textbook theories, students learn how to look at the internal financial health of a business through introductory accounting and finance subjects.
Planning and Funding New Ventures
As students progress, the focus moves directly toward starting and running a new business venture. In specialized modules like Venture Capital Planning and Entrepreneurship Management, students discover how to pitch business ideas and secure early funding. Classroom hours involve writing detailed business plans, assessing financial risks, and analyzing how small businesses survive their first few years. Practicing business managers and guest speakers regularly visit the campus to share how they dealt with supply chains, staffing issues, and legal regulations in Malaysia. Students also receive constructive peer feedback on their presentations, which helps them build confident communication skills before entering the corporate world.
Navigating the International Marketplace
The degree, awarded by the University of Cumbria, heavily emphasizes how globalization impacts everyday commerce. Through subjects like International Economics, Global Business, and International Marketing, students learn how exchange rates, cultural differences, and trade policies change how a company functions across borders. The curriculum is mapped out to match professional standards set by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, which helps students learn modern marketing frameworks used worldwide. Assignments require students to research an existing brand and design a practical plan to launch its services into a new country.
Applied Research and Strategy
The final year of the UoC BA (Hons) Business Management and Entrepreneurship program focuses heavily on strategic decision-making and research. In Strategic Analysis and Applied Business Research and Analysis, students learn how to look at market trends and find gaps that a new business could fill. Every student completes an Independent Project, choosing a specific business issue to research deeply under the guidance of experienced lecturers. Graduates move on to start their own companies, take over family businesses, or work as project managers, marketing executives, and business consultants in corporate sectors.
