Diploma In Fashion Design

Diploma in Fashion Design is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in current & future employment or for progression to Higher National Diploma (HND) & Bachelors degree. Diploma in Fashion Design are fully accredited by the British Government and recognised worldwide.

The aim of this programme is to provide a learning environment that ensures students to:

• Gain the education & training for a range of careers in Fashion Design.
• Develop skills in design, implementation & evaluation appropriate to the pathway they have chosen.
• Become proficient in Fashion Design skills relevant to the industry & to the current scenario.
• Be aware of the trends in the area of specialisation.
• Be able to learn & work both individually and as part of a group.
• Develop effective communication skills, both on an individual basis as well as making corporate presentations.
• Produce work of a highly professional standard.
• Be equipped to pursue further study in the area of choice.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. SPM / SPMV / O-Level / Equivalent: Pass with minimum 3 credits / Grade C in any subject and pass in Art Education; or 
2. UEC: Pass with minimum Grade B in 3 subjects; or
3. Pass certificate in related field with a minimum CGPA 2.0; or
4. SKM: Pass in Level 3 in Art and Design and pass SPM / equivalent with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject; or
5. Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Pass in an internal interview or/and drawing test

(for students who have not taken Visual Arts Education)

International students must pass:

• IELTS Band 4; or
• TOEFL with a minimum score of 397; or
• Cambridge/Edexcel GCE A-Levels; or
• MUET minimum band 2
