Foundation Certificate (International)

To enter the Foundation Certificate program, students must meet one of the following English proficiency levels: For standard entry, acceptable qualifications include IELTS with an overall score of 5.5 and no band below 5.0, TOEFL iBT with a total score of 50 (including at least 5 in reading and listening, and 15 in speaking and writing), PTE with a score of 46, NZCEL Level 3 (Applied), LanguageCert B2 Communicator with a PASS in all skills, Cambridge English score of 165, HKDSE English Language subject at Level 2, O/IGCSE English with a Grade C (4 points), or SPM English 1119 with a Grade C or B2. EAP1 with an overall score of 60% and KTE with a score of 425 (speaking and writing at B2 level) are also accepted. For alternative entry, students may present IELTS with an overall score of 5.0 (with no band below 4.5), TOEFL iBT with a total score of 40 (minimum 3 in reading and listening, and 13 in speaking and writing), PTE with a score of 38, NZCEL Level 3 (General), LanguageCert B1 Achiever with a PASS in all skills, Cambridge English score of 155, HKDSE English Language subject at Level 1, O/IGCSE English with a Grade E (pass), or SPM English 1119 with a Grade E or B1. KTE with a score of 400 (speaking and writing at B1 level) is also accepted.
