The medical degree program at RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus (RUMC), which is fully owned by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and University College Dublin (UCD), two of Ireland's oldest and most esteemed medical universities, provides students with an experience of a lifetime. The Malaysian and Irish Medical Councils have both accredited the five-year curriculum. You will be based in Ireland for the first two and a half years of the program, where you will study biomedical and early clinical sciences at RCSI or UCD. After completing your pre-clinical coursework, you will spend a further two and a half years in Penang, Malaysia, where you will undergo demanding and comprehensive clinical training.
The National University of Ireland grants medical degrees to successful five-year program graduates, giving them the same credentials as those who finish a whole program in Ireland. Professional external examiners from all over the world conduct thorough and ongoing evaluations of our medical program. This guarantees that RUMC students get the best medical education available.
