To meet the engineering demands of Industry 4.0, the Mechatronic Engineering (Robotics) program integrates mechanical, electronic, and computer control. Additionally, this degree is designed to specialise on robotics engineering.
The program focusses heavily on industrial automation and artificial intelligence to prepare graduates for the workforce of the future. Industry-related and UN SDG-related project-based learning are incorporated throughout the curriculum to emphasise sustainability and real-world learning. Using technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, industrial automation, robotics, and the Internet of Things, students investigate sustainable solutions to real-world issues.
The Collaborative Robots and Industrial Automation Laboratory and the Mobile Robotics Laboratory are two examples of the lab facilities created in collaboration with industry partners to support this program.
