Course Overview

The Post Basic in Renal Nursing is a 6-month programme offered by the School of Medical and Life Sciences at Sunway University. The programme is designed to provide nurses with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, attitude and skills in the field of Renal Nursing. In this programme, the learners will explore both theoretical and practical nursing skills through comprehensive stimulated clinical nursing scenarios, engagement with health care and practical internship.

Entry Requirement

The Post Basic Speciality in Nursing program is available for Malaysian candidates only (not applicable for international candidates). Applicants must possess a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB), be registered with MNB, and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) for nurses. A minimum of two years of clinical working experience is required, with experience in the Renal Care setting considered an added advantage. Candidates must also be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner, as required by the governing body, and must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.
