Course Overview

The Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) programme was introduced in 1981. It has been designed with the objective of providing accounting education at professional level to meet the demands of both the public and private sectors. The duration of this programme is 4 years (8 semesters) for graduates from STPM/Matriculation or any equivalent qualification. Students who have completed Diploma in Accountancy, UiTM will begin the programme at semester four (4). Other Diploma candidates may also apply for credit transfer if they fulfilled UiTM transfer credit requirements.

Entry Requirement

General University Requirements: Applicants must have completed the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or its equivalent, achieving at least a credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia and a pass (Grade E) in History. Program-Specific Requirements: For SPM Leavers: A pass in SPM with a minimum of three credits, including Mathematics and one Science subject. For STPM Leavers: A minimum CGPA of 2.00, with at least a Grade C in General Studies and two other subjects. For Diploma Holders: A recognized diploma in accounting with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. English Proficiency: A minimum Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) is required.

From its humble beginning as a Technical School, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) was upgraded to the status of a Technical College in 1946 and was established as a university in 1975.
