Bachelor Of Arts (Leadership) (Hons)

The Bachelor of Arts (Leadership) (Hons.) is a holistic and integrated programme designed to achieve the following objectives :

To create effective and efficient managerial leaders in the public and private sectors.

To give students a deep, practical understanding of the relationship and differences between management and leadership.

To provide students with the skills and knowledge to lead, solve problems and make changes effectively.

To enhance students' interpersonal and communication skills to enable them to function effectively and efficiently and contribute to enhance the performance of the public and private organisations.

To enhance their understanding of cross-cultural management practices so that they can lead in multicultural settings and organisations.

To guide students in developing their skills in performing leadership roles.

To provide adequate foundation work in subject areas that are fundamental to a liberal, professionally-oriented education and to prepare for career objectives including graduate work.

To ensure development of analytical and quantitative abilities and skills for defining and solving problems relevant to the public sector.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Pass in STPM or its equivalent with a minimum grade of C (Grade Point of 2.00) in any TWO (2) subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level; OR Pass in A-Level with full pass in any TWO (2) courses and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or equivalent; OR Pass Foundation or Pre-university programme with a minimum of CGPA 2.00 from an institution recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR Pass in The Malaysian Ministry of Education's Matriculation Programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level; OR Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of B grade in FIVE (5) subjects including a pass in Mathematics and English; OR Diploma with a minimum of CGPA of 2.00 from an institution recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum score of 30 points; OR Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government. Note : The requirement for passes in Mathematics and English at the SPM level can be excluded for STPM or STAM candidates if the qualification STPM or STAM includes passes in Mathematics and English Language which exceed or at least are equivalent to the requirement for passes in those subjects at the SPM level. Additional Requirements Credit Bahasa Malaysia and English in SPM and/or MUET Band 2.

English Proficiency Requirements International Students TOEFL 550; OR IELTS Band 5.5; OR Pre-U or Secondary Education undertaken in English medium. The validity period for TOEFL and IELTS is TWO (2) years from the date of the award. Malaysian Students Malaysian students who enroll into Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Bachelor's programmes must possess a minimum of Band 2 in their Malaysia University English Test (MUET). University Exit Requirements Malaysian students - MUET Band 4 International students - IELTS Band 6

Diploma from other Universities with CGPA achievement at least 3.00; or

Diploma from Polytechnics under the Ministry of Education, Malaysia

Equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Malaysian Government
