Course Overview

The aim of the program is to equip students with the knowledge and abilities needed to function as entry level accounting professionals in local and international accounting firms, private corporations and in the public sector. The students will be able to apply the knowledge in the area of accounting, auditing, taxation and finance which is required to fulfil an accounting-support role and participate in financial related decision-making and discussions.

Entry Requirements

Specific Entry Requirement:

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with minimum 3 credits including Mathematics and passed in English; OR
Pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum 1 principal pass and credit in Mathematics and passed in English at SPM; OR
Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a Maqbul rank and credit in Mathematics and passed in English at SPM; OR
Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum 3 Bs including Mathematics and English; OR
Pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 and credit in Mathematics and passed iin English at SPM; OR
Pass in Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in relevant field; OR
Other equivalent qualification as recognised by Malaysia Government.

General Entry Requirement:

Pass in SPM before Year 2013:

Passed Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM

Pass in SPM Year 2013 onwards:

Passed in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia & Sejarah at SPM

English Requirement for International Student:

International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS) 4.0 / CERF A2 or equivalent with Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) PBT (397) or TOEFL IBT (30-31) or CAE (160) / CEFR B2 or CPE (180) / CEFR C1 or PTE (30) / MUET Band 2
