Course Overview

The goal of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) degree program is to generate competent graduates who understand the fundamentals of computer science. Additionally, the program teaches students about computer science as a field of study. The University of Lincoln has validated this degree, and alumni receive two degree certificates upon successfully completing the program. Using languages and technologies like Java, C++, Android, SQL, and MATLAB, the courses provide study on a variety of subjects, such as object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, mobile computing, and computational mathematics.

You will learn the methods that support fields like artificial intelligence, web technology, mobile computing, computer graphics, complex computing systems, and computer security during this degree program. Additionally, you will hone your technical abilities in computer systems and operations, software design, and programming. Additionally, you will gain a variety of transferable skills that many employers value.

Entry Requirement

Applicants must meet the following entry requirements: For **GCE A-Levels**, 2 Principal Passes (2Ds) are required. For **STPM** (Science Stream or equivalent), a minimum of 2Cs or a CGPA of 2.00 with a Credit in a Mathematics subject and a Credit in a Science or ICT subject is necessary. For **Foundation Studies**, a Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 is required. For **Foundation/Matriculation**, the minimum standard is a Pass with a CGPA of at least 2.00 and a Credit in Additional Mathematics at the SPM level or equivalent, while the required standard for a dual award is a Pass with a CGPA of at least 3.00 and a Credit in Additional Mathematics at the SPM level or equivalent. Applicants with other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, or as stated in the *Document Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik* by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, must pass and are subject to review and approval of certified transcripts. **Mathematics Requirement**: Students must have attained a Credit in **Additional Mathematics** at SPM/O Levels or equivalent, or a Credit in **Mathematics** and a Credit in either a **Science**, **Technology**, or **Engineering** subject at SPM/O Levels or equivalent. If using the second option, students will need to enroll and pass a supplementary mathematics subject concurrently in the degree program. Students who do not fulfill either requirement should seek advice before enrollment. **English Requirements**: For **local students**, Band 3 in MUET is required. For **international students**, Band 6 in IELTS, a minimum score of 60 (IBT) or 550 (PBT) in TOEFL, or a score of 58 and above in the Pearson English Test is necessary.
