Course Overview

The most diverse engineering field, mechatronics has applications in business, government, the environment, and society. An important part of Penang's economy is the manufacturing sector. More skilled and educated workers are required to assist automation and guarantee the seamless operation of this sector if it is to continue to grow. Mechatronics, which combines mechanical systems with electrical and electronic components for improved feedback and control, is referred to as "modern mechanical engineering." Both KDU Penang universities College and our partner universities grant degrees to graduates of dual award programs. In contrast to a double degree, a dual award degree program represents the completion of a single course of study.

Entry Requirement

The detailed entry requirements are as follows: For **GCE A Levels**, a minimum of 2 Principal Passes (2Es) is required, including Mathematics and Physics. For **STPM**, a minimum of 2 Principal Passes (2Cs) is required, including Mathematics and Physics. For **UEC**, a minimum of 5 Credits (5Bs) is required, including Mathematics and Physics. For **Diploma**, a pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 is required. For **Foundation Studies**, a pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 is required. Any other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, or as stated in the **Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik** document by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency will be considered, subject to review and approval of certified transcripts. **English Requirement**: For **local students**, a Band 3 in MUET is required. For **international students**, a Band 5.5 in IELTS, a minimum score of 46 (IBT) or 454 (PBT) in TOEFL, or a score of 42 and above for Pearson English Test is required.

UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College began its chapter when it opened its door to its first batch of students in 1991. Since then, the UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College has grown by leaps and bounds.
