Course Overview

The Diploma in Computer Studies program at UOW Malaysia KDU teaches students how to use their IT expertise to address real-world issues in business or industry. The course covers the fundamentals of information technology, how hardware and software interact in real-world situations, and how computers impact play, work, and home life.In addition to the fundamentals of programming, students receive a strong, comprehensive foundation in the theory and practice of general computing. They also acquire the relevant skills and expertise that today's leading technology firms are looking for, based on real-world industry requirements. Additionally, students can combine their interests in computing with other fields of study and application through this diploma program.After graduating, students have the option of continuing on to degree programs in computing or entering the job.

Entry Requirement

Applicants must meet the following entry requirements: For **SPM**, a minimum of 3 Credits, including Mathematics, is required. For **UEC**, at least 3 Credits (Grade B) inclusive of Mathematics is necessary. Applicants with other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, or as stated in the *Document Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik* by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, must pass and are subject to the review and approval of certified transcripts. **English requirements** for local students include a Pass in SPM, 1119, UEC, or O Levels examinations, or MUET Band 2. International students must achieve Band 4 in IELTS, a minimum score of 30 (IBT) or 397 (PBT) in TOEFL, or a score of 30 and above in the Pearson English Test.
