Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies (Honours)

深厚，前身系 1921 年创办的国文系和 1926 年成立的厦大国学研究院，鲁迅、林语堂等著名作家学者曾在此执教。它致力于研究中华文化的核心价值理念及优良传承，获中国教育部授予的“国家文科基础学科人才培养和科学研究基地”、“国家级精品课程”，现已发展成为中国语言、文学、历史、哲学研究教育的领跑者。 人文学院拥有优秀的师资队伍，拥有博士学位者占全院教师总数的 78%。学院秉承“学术研究为教育基础”的理念，下设中国语言文学研究所、历史研究所等 9 个研究所，汉语语言学研究中心、东南亚华文文学研究中心等 15 个研究中心，并出版有《中国社会经济史研究》、《道学研究》等学术刊物。 在厦门大学马来西亚分校开设的中文文学学士课程旨在培养学生流利使用中文的能力，帮助学生深入地了解中国语言文学、历史、哲学及文化，并把所学的理论知识灵活地运用到实践中。毕业生将会在商业、教育、传媒及其它文化机构拥有良好的就业前景。

The Chinese Studies programme at Xiamen University has a long historyof scholastic excellence since its establishment in1921. Famous scholars such as Lu Xun and Lin Yu tang were once the teaching staff of this programme. We are supported by the Humanities College, which consists of 9 research institutes and15 research centres .The college publishes a number of high quality academic journals, such as China’ s Social and Economic Historical Research and Taoism Research. It has been accorded the honour of being the “National Talents Training and Research Base for fundamental Studies in Humanities” and the “National Quality Courses” provider b China’ s Ministry of Education, and has evolved to become the torch-bearer in the provision of education in the fields of Chinese linguistics, literature, history and philosophical studies. Our programme at Xiamen University Malaysia aims to produce graduates who are proficient in Chinese ,possess an in-depth understanding of Chinese linguistics, Chinese literature, history, philosophy and culture, and are capable of transferring theoretical knowledge into practical applications. We expect our graduates to find gain full employment in the spheres of education, mass media, commerce and culture
