RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus (RUMC)

Owned and founded by the two internationally recognised medical universities in Ireland, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and University College Dublin (UCD), the RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus is the country's first accredited private medical school. The Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE) recently granted the College university status as a Foreign University Branch Campus, which is one of the highest designations given to a foreign-owned institution in Malaysia. Additionally, RUMC is still the sole Irish university in the area. Both the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) acknowledge the university as a source of highly accomplished physicians.

The institution is designated as an Irish medical school in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), and the ECFMG and FAIMER recognise its students for practice in the USA, Canada, and other countries.
