Your Journey Starts Here
Picture this: You're standing in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen in the heart of Perth's entertainment district, perfecting your signature dish while music from nearby restaurants drifts through the windows. Or maybe you're in a modern classroom just minutes from Perth's CBD, collaborating with classmates from 42 different countries on a real business project. This isn't just a daydream—it's what everyday life looks like at Stanley College.
Since opening its doors in 2008, Stanley College has been on a mission to flip the script on traditional education. Forget boring lectures and outdated textbooks. Here, you're learning by doing—actually working in real kitchens, managing actual businesses, caring for real patients, and building genuine skills that employers are desperate to find. And the results speak for themselves: over 90% of Stanley College graduates land jobs in their field. That's not luck—that's what happens when education meets real-world experience.
Four Campuses, Endless Opportunities
Stanley College operates across four strategic campuses—three in sunny Perth and one in vibrant Adelaide. Each campus has its own personality and specialty, so you'll find yourself in exactly the right environment for what you want to learn.
The West Perth Campus (69 Outram Street) is the flagship—Stanley's headquarters and largest campus with over 20 high-tech classrooms. Just five minutes from Perth's city center, this is where bachelor's degree students and professional diploma learners come to study business, management, IT, and more. The facilities are sleek, modern, and equipped with everything you need, from free WiFi to available laptops. Think of it as your professional launching pad.
The Perth City Campus (171 James Street, Northbridge) is where the magic happens—literally. Located in Perth's entertainment capital, this campus is dedicated to hospitality and commercial cookery students. The state-of-the-art Culinary Workshop Facility is where aspiring chefs hone their craft, and here's the best part: you're within walking distance of dozens of restaurants and cafés that are constantly hiring Stanley students. It's like having a built-in job network right outside your classroom.
The Mirrabooka Campus (9 Chesterfield Road) serves Perth's northern suburbs, offering convenient access for students living in that area, while the Adelaide City Campus (101 Grenfell Street), opened in 2021, brings Stanley's proven approach to South Australia's capital. Adelaide living costs are about 15-20% lower than Perth, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious students.
Programs That Actually Lead Somewhere
Stanley College offers programs across six main areas, each designed with one goal: getting you job-ready fast.
Business, Leadership & Management programs range from certificates through to bachelor's degrees. Whether you're interested in general business management, accounting, digital marketing, or event management, you'll learn through real projects, case studies, and work placements. Past students have gone on to become business analysts, marketing coordinators, and project managers earning $50,000-$80,000 annually.
Hospitality & Commercial Cookery is where Stanley really shines. From certificates in hospitality through advanced diplomas in hotel management, these programs combine classroom theory with extensive hands-on practice. You'll learn in actual commercial kitchens, manage real cafés, and complete internships at Perth's top restaurants and hotels. Graduates become chefs, restaurant managers, and event coordinators with starting salaries of $45,000-$70,000.
Health & Nursing programs prepare you for rewarding healthcare careers. The Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) is nationally recognized and serves as your pathway into the nursing profession, with registered nurses in Australia earning $65,000-$90,000. You'll gain practical experience through work placements at actual healthcare facilities, learning hands-on patient care skills.
Early Childhood Education courses teach you everything about working with young children—from child development and learning psychology to curriculum planning and center management. Complete your training and you could be working as an educator or center director earning $50,000-$70,000, making a genuine difference in children's lives every single day.
Community Services programs train you for vital roles supporting vulnerable populations. Work placements in real community organizations give you experience with case management, program coordination, and social work, preparing you for careers earning $55,000-$75,000.
Information Technology diplomas cover everything from programming and network administration to cybersecurity. With Australia facing a massive tech skills shortage, IT graduates are in hot demand.
What Makes Stanley Different? The Work-Based Training
Here's where Stanley College absolutely stands out: the work-based training. This isn't just an internship tacked onto the end of your course—it's integrated throughout your entire program. You'll be working in real workplaces with real clients from early in your studies. Hospitality students work in operating restaurants. Business students contribute to actual company projects. Nursing students work in healthcare facilities under supervision. This means when you graduate, you're not just qualified—you're experienced. And employers notice.
Stanley's Employment Liaison Team works closely with over 2,000 industry partners to secure placements and permanent positions for students. They've got connections everywhere, from five-star hotels to tech startups to major hospitals. Many students transition directly from their placement into permanent employment before they even finish their course.
A True International Community
With over 3,000 students from 42 countries, Stanley College is genuinely multicultural. You'll find yourself working on projects with classmates from India, Nepal, China, Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia, and dozens of other nations. The 200+ staff members speak 18 different languages, so there's almost always someone who can help you in your native language if you need it.
This diversity isn't just nice to have—it's preparation for the real world. Australian workplaces are incredibly multicultural, so learning to collaborate across cultures at Stanley sets you up for success in any Australian workplace you enter.
Support That Actually Helps
Stanley College gets it—studying in a new country in a second language while managing finances and maybe working part-time is challenging. That's why they've built comprehensive support systems.
Academic support includes study skills workshops, writing assistance, and subject-specific tutoring. Having trouble with an assignment? Book time with a learning advisor who'll help you break it down. Worried about an upcoming exam? Join a study group facilitated by Stanley staff.
Financial support comes through scholarship programs offering $4,000-$11,000 for eligible students. International students can also access VET Student Loans. Having a tight month? Stanley understands and works with students to find solutions.
Career support includes resume workshops, interview preparation, job search assistance, and most importantly, those industry connections. The Employment Liaison Officers aren't just posting job ads—they're actively connecting students with employers, advocating for you, and helping you land that first role.
Student Life & Perth's Lifestyle
Let's talk about Perth itself, because location matters. Perth offers 265+ sunny days per year, beautiful beaches, a laid-back lifestyle, and significantly lower costs than Sydney or Melbourne. Stanley students consistently praise Perth's safety, friendliness, and quality of life. The city is perfectly positioned—just a short flight to Bali, Singapore, Thailand, or other amazing Asian destinations for quick getaways.
As a student, you can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during studies (unlimited during breaks), earning $22-$35 per hour. That translates to $1,100-$1,750 monthly, which covers a significant chunk of living expenses. Stanley students work in cafés, retail stores, hospitality venues, and offices—often places connected through Stanley's industry networks.
Social activities at Stanley include orientation programs, cultural celebrations, sports activities, volunteering opportunities, and student parties. The college actively encourages building friendships and networks that'll last long after graduation.
Pathways to Universities
Many Stanley diploma graduates don't stop at their diploma—they use it as a springboard into university degrees with advanced standing. Stanley has established pathways into Edith Cowan University, where diploma graduates can enter bachelor's programs with up to 1.5 years credit. There are also pathways to other Australian universities, meaning your Stanley diploma can fast-track your way to a full bachelor's degree.
Recognition & Awards
In 2022, Stanley College earned the National Export Award for International Education and Training—a huge recognition of excellence. This isn't just a nice-to-have trophy; it's proof that Stanley delivers world-class education that genuinely prepares international students for success in Australia.
